A true gardener's dream. McLaren's is massive! There's so much variety and they also stock a lot of bigger trees and shrubs that smaller garden centres can't. They focus on plants and not cafés, gift shops and presentation like all other garden centres these days, so don't go here if you're hoping for that kind of garden centre. This is a plant paradise. Helpful staff, better prices than most garden centres and you can always get plants 'out of season' and not just what's in bloom/at its best right now. TOP TIP: If you're visiting for the first time, there are price lists available at the entry. It's easy to miss these and if you don't grab one it can be frustrating without as many plants aren't individually priced!
